Persons Fighting Mental Illnesses

Many with lived experience of mental illness face involuntary hospitalisation and placement on compulsory treatments which include forced medication and living in half-way homes. Many have reported losing agency over their lives as they can no longer hold on to relationships, jobs, and even their sense of worth. While these arrangements aim to prevent risk of violence to the public, the patients need representation to help them defend themselves and explain that any risk they are alleged to pose may in fact be misconceived. We work towards an inclusive community that understands and stands up for people with mental illnesses.
