Behind Hong Kong Dignity Institute

Transparency and good governance are critical to our success. All of our operations come under the direction of our Board of Directors and are led by our core team and consultants, comprising leading experts across multiple professions.

Core Team

  • Patricia Ho

    Founder

Patricia Ho is the Founder of Hong Kong Dignity Institute, Founding and Managing Partner of Patricia Ho & Associates and Principal Lecturer of the Faculty of Law at the University of Hong Kong. Much of her work involves defending the rights of minority groups in Hong Kong by way of seeking advancements and developments of government policies and laws through strategic litigation. Patricia provides legal and strategic advice to a number of NGOs in Hong Kong, and works with both local and international bodies to advocate for the rights of marginalised groups, including refugees, asylum seekers and victims of human trafficking.

  • Jennifer Moberg Pforte

    Executive Director

Jennifer Moberg Pforte has worked in post-conflict and emerging societies on cultural development and forced migration issues, and in the private sector in international education management. After owning and operating a successful music school in Hong Kong for over 10 years, a transformative sabbatical at the Afghanistan National Institute of Music led to a total career change. She pursued a Masters in International Development, conducting her dissertation on Afghan refugees protracted in Indonesia, and transitioned into education-in-emergencies and refugee work in Afghanistan, Thailand, Pakistan, and Hong Kong.

  • Deborah Measor

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Deborah Measor completed her Master’s of Art degree at the University of Edinburgh. Upon her return to Hong Kong, she joined KPMG in 2009, advising on financial accounting and compliance matters for over three years. Having crunched a sufficient amount of numbers, Deborah joined Bai Xian Asia Institute Limited, a pan-Asian scholarship provider for tertiary education, upon its conception in 2013 as its first staff member.

  • Rebekka Fiedler

    Casework and Research Manager

Rebekka Fiedler is a NGO practitioner and researcher interested in the intersection of migration, law, and development. She holds a Master of Science in Migration Studies from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Geography from the University of Bremen, and received a scholarship from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
