The ideal Legal Officer has extensive experience with clients who have experienced a high degree of trauma, is trained in trauma-informed methodologies, has a deep understanding of intersectionality, and maintains an expansive network of peers in the field.
The Legal Officer embodies the mission of HKDI by ensuring that our integrated service model is administered to the highest possible standard, and clients are receiving the highest degreeof trauma-informed care available in house.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Law degree from a recognised university
PGCL / PCLL
3-5 years PQE with good working experience and track record
Experience with pro-bono or service work
Commitment to public interest law and supporting marginalised group

The Counselor embodies the mission of HKDI by ensuring that our integrated service model is administered to the highest possible standard, and clients are receiving the highest degree of trauma-informed care available in house.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Degree in Counseling, Psychotherapy, Social Work etc.
Experience working with populations at risk, i.e. refugees, victims of human trafficking, individuals affiliated with the sex industry etc.
Training in Trauma Informed Care
Excellent client facing and communication skills

We are seeking interpreters from a variety of language areas to support clients during legal as well as counseling sessions. Interpreters will be engaged on a need basis, attending sessions as required. Counseling sessions generally last one hour; legal sessions can last up to two.
HKDI engages interpreters on a paid basis, but encourages pro-bono service as well.
Hong Kong Dignity Institute has an ongoing need for interpreters for the following languages:
Arabic, Hindi/Urdu, Punjabi, Sinhala, Tamil, Bahasa, Bangla
