Walter’ Story

Walter is from Hong Kong and has struggled with his mental health for many years. As a result of unfortunate incidents, he was wrongly accused of an inclination to violence and has been unfairly placed under a conditional discharge order for many years, his liberties without sufficient justification. HKDI helped him to prepare a judicial review to challenge the legality of conditional discharge orders. HKDI’s counselling services provide Walter with the opportunity to process his feelings of having lost valuable life time and is exploring how to maximise his own agency until the conditional discharge order is reviewed.
